Youngsters taught how to wash their hands properly

The Kiddiwash® portable warm water hand wash unit from TEAL was the perfect ablution solution when medical students from Warwick University organised a Teddy Bear Hospital for children.

The event, at The Kingsley School in Leamington Spa, helped children overcome their fears about hospitals through role play and, at the same time, gave trainee doctors the opportunity to improve their communication skills with the younger generation.

Kiddiwash hand hygiene teaching for childrenAs part of hygiene promotion, youngsters were taught how to wash their hands properly with soap and warm water – and with no plumbed in sinks available nearby the portable insulated units allowed children to do this under the watchful eyes of the medical students.

Teal apprentices Guy Whieldon and Rory Cheshire (pictured) were there to help out and reward the children with stickers when their hands were thoroughly clean.

The Kiddiwash® provides enough warm water for 10 through hand washes at the touch of a fingertip tap. It is completely self contained and features a unique Waste-Safe® which retains all dirty water for later disposal.
